    Hari Om!
    Selamat Pagi.

After such a long Gap, here I am again. Today’s lesson is going to be a very short one. As many of you are visiting Malaysia, I'm going to teach you how to ask for places in Malay language! <v:shape id=Picture_x0020_40 style="VISIBILITY: visible; WIDTH: 27.75pt; HEIGHT: 15pt; mso-wrap-style: square" alt="http://www.IndusLadies.com/forums/images/smilies/2thumbsup.gif" type="#_x0000_t75" o:spid="_x0000_i1027"><v:imagedata o:title="2thumbsup" src="file:///D:\DOCUME~1\User\LOCALS~1\Temp\msohtmlclip1\01\clip_image002.gif">:2thumbsup:</v:imagedata></v:shape>

I want to go to “Penang”. – Saya mahu pergi ke “Penang”.
Please bring me to “Penang”. – Tolong bawa saya ke “Penang”.
Please tell me the way to “Penang”. – Tolong beritahu saya bagaimana nak pergi “Penang”

Mr – Encik (please pronounce it as “in che” [che is like you pronounce “che” in che chi (sister in Malayalam” )

    I really find this useful!
Recently I have hired a maid and I follow her around with my kamus or ask friends for help with common sentences.
Perhaps we can have some such sentences here?
    Please sweep
    mop the floor
    wash the dishes
take the clothes out of the machine
    hang them to dry
    fold them
    carry it downstairs
    etc
    :)
    This is great:thumbsup
    Thanks for this thread
    Gita

    Hi sadhuram!
    Hari Om.

I'm not so sure whether there are classes without charge in KL. but you can easly learn Malay Language by asking any of your Malaysian friends. Sure they won't have any problem in teaching you.

    Love,
    Vashini
