    hi ladies
i know i am late for Mother's day but surely not late for my mother's birthday and many other mom's some or the other special day. here is an ode to each and every mother from all the daughters. because they only can understand what it takes to be a mother and what is a mother. i hope u like this little poem by me.

    Tanu

    All that you give…mom!!
I still remember you standing at the door of the hall,
School’s poem recitation competition and I was at stall.
My two lined poem, a fun stock for others,
With tears in my eyes I climbed down the ladders…
It was you my mom, who held me close…
My failure never mattered with your love dose.

I saw you leaving the last apple for me,
And never thanked you for waiting in the balcony.
How many times…you missed buying a saree,
Because my dress needed a little more spree.
You sat with books, for nights together,
To make me the best known scholar ever.

I know you cried... your pillow still damp,
But never forgo being my lamp.
I never apologized, after any little row,
Still you were there with dinner at my door.
I never understood, what keeps you so kind,
Never did revenge ever cross your mind?

I continue to be the same blatant daughter,
Where you remain same, my loving mother.
Your mealtime stories, your soft little lullaby,
All went in vain, do I remember any?
Don’t worry mom, they are all in my heart,
And I promise to dispense them, down the path.

    Dear Tanu,

Nice poem and it reflects your feelings very aptly. It is the feeling which is necessary to be conveyed and being later than a specified date does not matter so much.

Dear Tanu, Superb! that is the word uttered by my daughter when I read the poem to her. Everyone of us have these feelings in our heart. We donot understand our mother's words when we r young and energetic. But later when we r mothers and we repeat our mother's words to our children we understand how strong those words are. Mother means so much to me too. She is the greatest asset God has given us. A person who doesn't nourish the mother's love will never understand the tender feelings she has for her child.

    Thanks for the poem

    Kind regards,

    sujatha
