It is one of my favorite parks. You will love it if you like watching wild life. The hot water geysers are of course something to watch. Don't miss the "Old Faithful". Also keep an eye out of watching wild buffaloes, elk, moose and other wildlife. for more info, try nps.gov. Enjoy.
there is already a thread on yellowstone so please do look for it as it has lots of info. the road in yellowstone is in the shape of the number 8. you need two days to complete both circles in the 8, as you can complete one circle per day to enjoy all the parks attractions. when you get there, they will give you a booklet that lists all the attractions in the park. they are all worth a visit so don't skip any! and take lots of pictures!
Hi Akshata, Yellowstone is a beautiful park and will take about 2-3 days to cover. We stayed in West Yellowstone and had to drive back and forth. It would be advisable for you to stay inside the park. There are many lodges and hotels inside and it would be best if you can stay for 1 night in each of them. You don't have to drive all the way back to a particular hotel. Also, if you are driving to Yellowstone from Salt Lake city, do not miss Grand Teton National park. It is one of the most beautiful and scenic park. For more info go to nps.gov/yell
Hi akshata, Don't forget your Binoculars. It's worth investing in a good quality even if you use it just this once.
