    Hi Mrs.Chithra,

Wondering what it could be?? Yes, chow chow carrot curry from get together menus.

chow chow with carrot & peas, a combination which had never tried. Really liked the curry's simplicity after getting bored with the regular kootus. Pls do introduce if you cook any simple different menus in your kitchen. All need a break from the regular rich food, isnt it??

    Rgds.

    HI Chitvish,
Made Keerai mulagoottal yesterday. After your various mulagootal recipes I have become a big fan of it!! Also made Irupuli kuzhambu for the first time.. My MIL makes it really well!! I was so happy that in the first attempt, mine too turned out lip smacking... :)
    Thanks for everything..:)

    Dear Mrs. Chithra,

    Back with weekend FB..

Upma and Rava Kesari- Made this for breakfast, came out perfect, Kesari being my favorite had an extra serving:)

Venthaya Pongal- Another awesome dish with goodness of methi & flavor of coconut milk, side dish was Andhra Brinjal Chutney...made a great combo.

Penne with Pesto Sauce- I didn't have Basil, so on a whim substituted it with mint leaves, added 2 g.chillies for some heat & the result was lip smacking!!!

Creamy Carrot Soup- Creamy without butter, nutritious and delicious!!

Many thanks for the recipes Chithra Ma'am.:bowdown

    Regards,
    Ragini.

    Dear NS,
I am back after my US trip today early morning:hiya.I seemed to have missed quite a bit in the forum.Today,I am feeling very groggy but couldn't resist browing through IL :).I made Kadamba paratha,Novel tiffin sambhar etc in the resort we were staying...My son was very happy to have home food and was saying..nothing is better than indian food and chitvish recipes are best.I am glad that I could cook chitvish recipes even while holidaying in the US.Thanks a lot NS:bowdown.
I finally bought the measuring spoons from US,while shopping and when I was in the Kitchen aisle,I remembered you a lot and wished you were there with me too. After taking some rest,I will be back with fb's as usual.:)

Mulakootal such a dish that you can make a meal out of it. Besides, it has the combo of vegs + dhals as well. This is more a Palghat dish.A raitha or puliachadi goes well.
Irupuli kuzhambu is a typical Thirunelvei cooking & you can use a lot of country vegs in it. Goes best with a roast curry.
    Love,
    Chithra.

Rava Kesari is the sweet made in our homes from "time immemorial"!
We think, moong dhal is a must for pongal - but Venthaya Pongal disproves it!!
In Creamy Carrot Soup, cream is only in the name but not in the ingredients!!
    Thans for all FBs, Ragini.
    Love,
    Chithra.
