I have made a kural software in tamil. Would like to know if anyone wants them so i could post it here. It is freeware.

Hi Citralekha your website gallery was so nice. Especially pictures of Radhekrishna and goddess lakshmi pictures. please add yashodhakrishna pictures too.Posting thirukural software will help many young mothers to teach their kids the principles of life.

Greetings all,

The software is a work in progress so if you all have a problem kindly let me know but it has been tested by a number of people.

Download and unzip the software. Click on the kural.exe file.

pic 1 -> shows how to browse and go to the kural index
pic 2 - > shows another method of browsing by typing in the kural number in the box and pressing enter.

I have not written a complete how to on this software yet as i am on 4 months of medical leave due to spine problem.

If you have problems on the fonts(viewing in Tamil) Kindly let me know so i could help out.

Yasodhakrsna pictures are there too. Please have a click on the krsna link. You have to browse for a while before the pictures that you are looking for appears(plate 8). If you still have a problem, kindly let me know so i could upload the pictures for you.

Sorry am not used to in using forum tools.

Hi citralekha, I am not able to download the kural zip exe, problem in reading fonts, I can read only about when i open the zip file, and unable to read other fonts, please help me out. Thanks for your immediate reply pa.

dear subhananda,

The About button shows how to install the fonts by default.

You would find the font TSC_Mylai inside the folder where the file kural.exe zip file was executed. It is created each time the font file is missing.

To manually install the font:

Click Start, and then click Run.

Type %windir%\fonts, and then click OK.

Copy this file TSC_Mylai and paste it in C:\Windows\Fonts folder

Once done, click on the kural.exe and you would see the Tamil fonts. This applies for Win2000 and WinXP/Vista. IF you are using Win95 and Win98 you have to restart the computer.

Please let me know if you still encounter any problem.
