    Hi NMK,

It is in dhanu masam which has already started now. However I do not think thiruvadira is in year 2008. It is sometime in Jan, 2009. I will check the dates and let you know.

Thiruvaadhirai is considered as the nakshatram of Lord Natrajar..Since he takes no birth this day is celebrated for him especially in the month of marghazhi...

Adhiseshan all of a sudden felt Maha vishnu to be weighing more..when enquired he replied that...he was dreaming about the Lord Nataraja's aanandha thandavam..so Adhiseshan felt eager to view it too..So he went to Chidamparam and started doing tapas to njoy the dance of Lord Nataraja..Finally he appeared and danced ...

This is celebrated as Aaruthra dharisanam the next day morning and special abishekam's and anna dhaanam are made..

We used to make thiruvaadhirai kali a special sweet and also kadhamba kuzhambhu or kootu after viradham..My granny used to tie us a yellow thread kept in pooja..like many do on varalakshmi viratham...this is also for gents and kids , but they tie in their wrists.
