Hi All;
I am Vaishnavi. Actually I am a tamilian but will be marrying a malayali guy soon.
I would try maximum to be like malayali when I am in his house. So tried and learnt malayalam to certain extent. I always speak malayalam with him and his parents.
As i am in bangalore and dont have much malayali friends i get less chance to actually learn about malayalis. Only possible way is my BF and his family.
But their family is in thrissur and i had only talked with them over phone.
This will be a good forum for me to get to know more malayalis by which i can also try to get to know about culture and life better.

Also congratulations for your marriage.
Since you are from tamil background you can able to learn malayalam soon.
Its pretty much similar language.Also try to watch some malayalam movies and also some reality shows that will help to get some words which you can easily pick up as it will be most commonly used words will be there.
Also try to speak with any malayali friends by which you can also pick up.
Sure that you will pick up soon and be a good mallu women

Hi all mallu gals....I am from Cochin..was born and brought up in Kottayam...now married and settled in Cochin...missing KTM and loving Cochin...cochin is developing real fast....I used to work in Bangalore,seems now cochin is all set to meet bangalore.:hiya
