    Hi all,

    Since lohri is coming.
    I know its too early to discuss but we can note down important recipes and celebrate lohri like anything.
    So all of you are welcome to share your recipes of Lohri festival.
    This is the thread to discuss all chatpati,sweet dishes which we camn make on coming lohri.
    Whats your plan for it?
    We can prepare some dishes in advance so that we can enjoy Lohri to the fullest.and we can concentrate on other things that day

    What is Lohri? when is it?? what's so significance of lohri.
    Sorry, I am based of south india, haven't heared of this festival. May be we have a similar festival match like Lohri, I mnot sure.
    Throw some light on this.:bowdown

    I know little bit about Lohri.Lohri is famous festival of Punjab.
    Do you know about Makar Shankranti?
    Lohri falls one day before Makar Shankranti(Very famous festival in North India).
    Lohri is a festival of singing and dancig.All age group people celebrate and enoy Lohri with fun.
    Lot of delicious dishes made on this special occasion.

    Hi ladies,

    Happy Lohri to all!!!I want to share important famous lohri dish

    Aate ke Ladoo

    Ingredients:

    Aata flour : 1 cup
    Ghee : 4 tbsp
    Ghee : 1 cup
    Milk : 1 cup

    Method:
    Take a kadhai .Add ghee to kadhai.Fry aata in medium flame.Stir it time to time.Add grated jaggery to it.Add little bit milk also.After roasting make equal sizes laddoos.For making smooth shapes take milk in your hand.Be careful it is very hot.

    Hi all ,

    Lets share Ganne Ki Kheer

    Ingredients:

    Sugarcane juice: 1 litre
    Basmati rice : 100g

    Method:
    Put the sugarcane juice in a pan and heat.
    Wash and add the rice to it and allow it to cook in the juice on a slow fire.
    Continue cooking till the rice and sugarcane juice form a smooth mixture of thick consistency.
    Take it off the fire.
    Allow it to cool.
    Refrigerate and serve cold.
