Having difficulties in choosing the right shampoo to prevent dandruff? Afraid of wearing black tops just because you do not want others to see those flakes on your shoulders? Here are some ways to prevent dandruff from falling on your shoulder.

Shampoo your hair regularly. Shampooing is often the easiest and most effective way to prevent dandruff.

Asian weather maybe a little too hot for some people. However, you should spend some time under the sun especially in the mornings because the human skin needs sunlight to produce certain essential vitamins and the skin of your scalp is no exception. Getting just a little sun on your scalp each day will help keep it healthy, but you must be careful to avoid sunburn – just like with any other part of your body.

Try Tea Tree Oil shampoo. Tea Tree Oil has been used for centuries as an antiseptic, antibiotic and antifungal agent. It is now included in a number of shampoos found in natural foods stores. However, Tea Tree Oil can also cause allergic reactions in some people. So be sure to stop using it if you encounter any problem.

Reduce the frequency of using hairstyling products as most of the styling products will contribute to the build up of oil on your scalp. The more you use them, the more dandruff you will get.

Manage your stress level. Stress affects your overall health, making you susceptible to a number of conditions and diseases. It can even help trigger dandruff or exacerbate existing symptoms.

Include zinc in your diet. It is best to get zinc from food sources such as egg yolks, fish — especially sardines — meat, soybeans, sunflower seeds and whole grains.
