Toddlers who are 2 years old drink less milk than infants. On an average, you can target 12 - 15 oz a day. Especially, if the child doesn't eat solids much, too much milk will hinder. I was told this by my paediatrician. Check out this link - FEEDING TODDLERS: 17 TIPS FOR PLEASING THE PICKY EATER. It will ease your anxiety.

This is what I fed Guhan yesterday:
8 am : Milk. Did not want his cereal
11 am: Rasam rice and curd rice with ash guard kootu
    1 pm: Juice and cookie
    4 pm: Milk
7 pm: Rasam rice with kootu and curd rice with narthangai pickle.

Today was not a great eating day for my LO. In his defence he is teething.

    6 am nurse
8.30 A bit of bread, one egg omlette and vegetable juice.
10.30 1/2 dosai from breakfast, nurse
1 pm 1/2 cup of pongal, two tbsp baby potatoes
3.30 stole 2 tbsp pongal from my plate and nursed
5.00 a small katori of raisins and some vegetable juice
6.30 demanded and ate an egg dosai
    7.30 nursed to sleep
In effect, no veggie matter no fruits! bonkNo vegetarian source of protein. grrr teething.

Vahee, I am collecting Ragi recipes from this site LOL. How do you make Ragi with salt. DS is dairy free for allergies and I would love to give him Ragi in other forms. Care to share

    HI krithika...

here is the recipe... 2 spoon ragi powder, 1 glass water.... mix it nicely and cook till it becomes like a smooth paste... i used to feed with spoon so i cook till it becomes semisolid. then add required salt. (my daughter dont eat if i add milk to this ragi mix)

optional : i have made nuts powder( equal proportion of cashew, badam & pista slighty fried without oil and grinded) and stored it. i used to add 1 spoon of nuts powder to this mix...
