    Dear Vidu,

I made this way... came out well.

Cabbage Moorkootu : 1/4 kg of cabbage is more than enough for 2-3 people.

Sour butter milk - 3/4 to 1 cup
Soaked gram dhal - 2 table spoon
Rice flour - 1 tsp (Optional) , as I used the gram dhal itself smashed for thickening also.
    Green chillies – 1-2
Turmeric powder - a pinch (optional)
    Salt to taste
Curry leaves & Chopped coriander leaves
    Oil - 1 tsp
    Red chilli - 1
    Jeera – ½ tsp
    Mustard – ¼ tsp
    Hing

Chopped the cabbage and cooked it separately in Microwave (To save time ..). Added the cooked cabbage with some water and add turmeric powder to it. Now smash the soaked gram dhal and add to the mixture. Allow it to cook for 3-4mins. :hiya As I did not have a mixie, I chopped green chillies and ginger finely and fried it with Jeera and mustard and hing in One tea spoon oil . (Else you can grind ginger, green chillies and gram dhal and mix it the cooked cabbage !! ) Add the butter milk to the mixture and lower the flame. Add curry leaves and chopped coriander leaves . After 2-3 minutes, add salt and stir it well.

    Enjoy eating Moorkootu !! :cheers

    Gowri,

Thank you very much for the recipe. I have one big cabbage sitting in the fridge for more than 10 days. I will try this and let you know.
