It remains incomplete and am not at all satisfied with draft. The essence and the undercurrent or the flavour in Tamil is ticklish to bring about in English!
Thank you Viji Jaan. It's a nice feeling and quiet honor to be nominated by you. Thank you for bringing this post by hrastro to FP, Thyagu. Response by @hrastro in With No Expectations Whatsoever... Many times, often when there are no bigger or more real things to worry about, I pondered on who my kids could turn to if I and better-half kicked our respective buckets much earlier than expected. And, more often than not, I used to realize that the world is filled with people who want to help. That confidence is only reinforced when I read posts like this nominated post by @hrastro. It has solid suggestions on how to help others with no expectations, but this also caught my attention: In my life experience, I have noticed that several people help me too... They dont always get back anything from me except acknowledgement.... And whenever I am in trouble, those whom I have helped may not come to my rescue, but the UNIVERSE always ensures that I am rescued!
Snippet by @HariLakhera Persian Bazar Of Self-help. Hari Lakhera ji often writes about slices of life and makes us examine them in a new light. This time, life and life's problems and the help for those have been compared to a Persian Bazar. Neat. Like he says in the snippet, the world (and the internet) are full of help and advisors. But often, if not always, the possible fix starts with a little self-introspection: is the problem really as dire, are we really as helpless, do we need to completely overcome the problem right now? A nice thought-provoking snippet.
Thyagu, thank you nominating this post, it made for an interesting read. However, some parts of the post are same word for word from other websites, such as this: Karwa Chauth: When Indian men fast for their wives | Sanskriti - Hinduism and Indian Culture Website So, this post will not be considered for FP.
I am so glad posts by Laks can now be nominated. Thank you Viswa for bringing this compassionate and gentle one by Laks to FP. Response by @Laks09 in How To Deal With Relatives Who Come After $$$ After Parents Death Sometimes we need others to tell us all will be ok, we need the reminder of our abilities and accomplishments. Laks09's response gives this and the much needed encouragement and confidence boosting OP needed there. ====== A special thanks to @SuiDhaaga for sharing with us her innermost fears and vulnerabilities. All of Sui's recent threads brought in some extremely warm and caring responses and thoughts from readers. I checked IL more often : ) including once when peeling boiled potatoes and hence ended up with visible smears on my usually spotless phone. : )
Thank you so much. I really needed this forum. In real life I have my Dad. In virtual life I have IL as my special family. I hope your phone is now okay I hope my thread helps others who have this moan or surgery. Not just during the surgery and hospital stay but weeks and months after. The physical pain, emotional rollercoaster for the Patient and their loved ones And the hope they will finally be healthy and free
@Viswamitra sir, Thank you for the nomination. Apologies for the delay in acknowledging. I missed this somehow. @Rihana - Thank you for the vote of confidence. @SuiDhaaga - I hope you are able to go draw confidence from all you achievements. Kudos to you!
I am learning to see my interests and what makes me happy …. That will make me realize my self-worth.
