British India+WW2+Spanish flu together circa 1918. 13M+ deaths just by spanish flu.. 103 years later, people are doing mid-air weddings midst another pandemic... India as a nation, shall be ok.
I feel bad forbid I hope once this COVID thing is over that India focuses on hygiene and cleanliness. Before COVID, people who visited India returned home sick. One lady ended up in ER for a week upon her return.
The Brits thought the country would never remain in one piece with all the castes and languages, yet it remained. Made splendid economic progress from 90s only to stutter from covid. When the developed world suffered the first wave, India sprang a surprise. And the totally opposite during the 2nd wave. A bundle of contrasts, quite like watching 'Breaking bad'.
India is neither third world nor developing nation now. It is superior power in commonwealth and Indian PM IS LEADER of G-20 group.
