Soul is changeless and attributeless. It is the encryption on the soul created by our past action that burdens the soul to go through the cycle of birth and death. Soul by itself is always looking to liberate itself. Every life will always aspire to be one with supreme consciousness. When one experience the oneness of all souls and identify themselves with the soul, they get to see the encryption and eliminate it. When we elevate ourselves above the realm of the mind, we get the vision of the supreme soul. Our soul is changeless and has no attributes. It is never born and never dies.
Sir, one of the best explanations I can think of, about Karma. Even so, there are too many questions and life does not always seem fair for everyone and can only be explained as "Ones Karma"
As long as the mind exists, questions will continue and the mind will continue to analyze and interpret whether one deserves it or not. Mind can be separated from Vasanas only when it becomes subservient to the intellect that takes the Jiva towards divine existence inside of each life. It is a difficult endeavor but worth when we analyze the fruits of those steps. It is the difference between darkness and light. Vasanas are like clouds that hide the bright Sun (Consciousness). Once we lift the veil of Maya, one can see nothing but bright Sun. Vivekachoodamani written by Adi Sankara explains it so well.
Karma is a big thing..i think the power to change destiny lies in karma ..what we do..prayers, charity, hard work, good deeds etc.Past karmas affect our destiny but sitting and watching wgat happens in our life is never going to help. We have to perform karma which may include prayer, meditation, hard work and charity. So Yes we can change our destiny..
Rephrase your question - If destiny causes the actions what it is called? Every object including life forms are in animation by the will of God who had created or written the Law if destiny for all forms of life and objects. We have anecdotes mountain Govardhana Giri speaking to God - Lord Krishna . Destiny seems to be different for two different persons with identical goal and efforts.
