The story was intriguing, and kept me going and was amazing.

Hope the movie turns out to be marvelous like the book.

 

I still honestly feel that Sai Pallavi, Parvathy thiruvothu or Nitya menon would have suited Kundavai's role

Yes i read the translated version, and the face off scene between both Kundavai and Nandini is important for many reasons....

First and foremost they both know each other since their childhood and now have grown up to be princess, and both have hatred towards each other.

Secondly, they both want to discuss about one thing and it always comes to that main thing, The Chola empire,the crown.

 

Nandini, Mandakini, Kundavai, Manimegalai, Poonkuzhali, Vanathi, SembiyamaDevi, they all were powerful women in the novel Ponniyin Selvan.

Strong women at heart and they all had different issues but the way they tackled them was brilliant.

 

Madhurantaka Thevar played by Rehman is yet another interesting role, has many layers and for a while it is difficult to understand if he is the hero or the anti hero, but as the story goes forward, it becomes clear.

 

More than Nandini and Kundavai, i loved Poonkuzhali, truly a wonder woman.

 

I feel even Arya would suit Vanthiyadevan s role because Vanthiyadevan is that Nakkal kind of funny and keeps getting mokkai, his heart is at the right place.

 

Absolutely. What's not to love about Poonkuzhali.

 

Poonkuzhali was brave, brilliant and stood for her loved ones. For me she is a warrior princess
