Which Cardiology To Go For Tavr

My Uncle still has affairs up in the air but now he is ready to make appt with Surgeon for TAVR.

Thus procedure inserts a catheter into blood vessel to replace diseased aortic valve with man-made aortic valve

What should be qualifications of surgeon? Is it enough to be Cardiologist

For instance we are in big city and live near hospital that is top ranked for TAVR in USA.

Internal Medicine (Graduate Study) Year 1992

Board Cert is from American Board of Internal Medicine with Sub-certification in
Cardiovascular Disease
Interventional Cardiology

However there is another Dr in same hospital who did
General Surgery (Graduate Study) Year 1983
Thoracic Surgery (Graduate Study) Year 1985
Cardiovascular Surgery (Graduate Study) Year 1985

Board Certification is from American Board of Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery





Which one is better for TAVR?

imdint want to blindly pick Dr because local Cardiologist said particular name. This is high risk surgery. Even the Surgeons cry about stroke risk
