Hi everyone , I’m asking this on behalf of relatives. One of their astrologers suggested the following pooja : Kanyadosha shanthi at Chotanikarai Bhagavathi Amman (Kerala). As I had mentioned she is one of my close relatives suffering with schizophrenia since past few years….. Once a smart intelligent school topper. When i searched up this temple it looks like it cures mental illness too !! I was wondering if anyone has any experiences or miracles with this temple. She is going to travel alone with elderly parents. So my question is , is it safe ? I mean will the temple be scary and is it safe to go and visit I mean it is worth a shot to try to solve her issues. She is a precious beautiful school topper. But I don’t want them to take any risks too.
Dear Eagerforinfo, As any place of worship, it is the belief of a person that matters. I have been to chotanikara. I have seen many people with mental problems being brought there. Whether they were cured or not, I do not know. There is a Pooja on Friday I think ( I am not sure about the day), where they do Pooja to excorcise the possessed. This is scary to watch.
