Yeah sadwife, there are many exercises for stretching out and relaxing the back muscles which will give you relief. Specialist talks in terms of current state of back, your pain and medicines/surgery because that's their area of expertise. But you can always tell them which exercises you are planning to do and take their opinion. Thing that bugs me is they never volunteer this info but if you ask they do reply.
45 mins to 1 hour a day is reasonable and you are doing that anyway. You can walk outside in that time, in some sloping stretches and try to increase your pace of walking. Thing is during that time try to maximize by increasing intensity, or changing up your routine. There are many exercises on youtube - stretches, aerobic routines and exercises to pump up cardio that you can also try. Try different things on different days. The day you cant do anything because you are too busy or too tired then you can always fall back on walking.

@sadwife - I meant to post this link but forgot. https://www.youtube.com/user/walkathomemedia - Leslie Sansone, the walk at home Guru. Lots of il-ites use her videos to walk and burn calories. You do need good quality walking shoes before you begin. I would also do a few good yoga stretches before and cool down properly after since you have back pain. @Shanvy used to follow LS. She successfully lost a lot of weight with the LS walks along with managing her diet. She also has some back issues and couldn't do other workouts.
As always, check with your dr before you start any new exercise regime since you have an underlying condition.

    Good Luck!

I do walking on daily basis for 30 to 35 min on Tread Mill, & I observe my smart watch, 7000k steps I am able to walk on daily that includes, walking in home for my daily cores activities too... as discussed in loop we need to walk 10, 000k steps, but I am unable to complete .....and achieve the goal. Any suggestions how to keep us motivated to complete 10k steps easily on daily basis.

Walking 10k steps will burn 300k calories. To reduce 1 kg weight, you needs to burn 7000k calories.. or reduce the calorie in take per day.. find out your BMR values and fix a diet for that + exercise will definitely reduce the weight.

You could try to increase your time on the treadmill slowly. 5-10 mins every other day. You could also do the 30 minutes at a faster pace. Now that you have a baseline, you can easily do either of the two based on your preference. To stay motivated, try watching a movie on a device that can clip on the handle or listen to some music/podcasts/audiobooks while you walk. If you club working out with an activity that you really like, you can push yourself to do for a little longer.
