Is there a law against people of a certain faith following their own religion unless they pretend to follow ever other? Anyway, since there will never be any end to this and since you are determined to have the last word, so be it.

 

This government is determined to target this religious group from the beginning so this issue has to be viewed as an attack against their religion.

 

Exactly so if it is ok for girls to wear hijab in TN why not in Karnataka?

It is very clear that the whole issue is purely politically oriented. All these years a normal practice of having a given uniform was meant for all and was being followed. Talking of a tilak or thread on hands etc is not the equivalent of a hijab by any standards! I am afraid political parties for their own selfish ends with their followers, will take the country back to a time when there was all that hindu-muslim riots and society suffered at large!

 

Who makes that decision that it is not the same ? Can you explain why a Brahmin men must wear a thread in their chest ? I can Claim that the thread is to show the world that they are superior and everyone else is below them; Sikhs turban is considered as religious item throughout the world and in Tamil Nadu some schools consider hijab as part of their uniform

The level of public discourse is at an all-time low with BJP government, be it at the centre or state. Sometimes, I feel, it is like the magician using smoke or pretty girls for distraction while performing their tricks. The current discussions only range between religion, how bad Nehru/Congress was. Current developmental issues seem to be a non-issue during elections/discussions.

 

Yes that’s a tried and tested methodology by this government this is surely a distraction for the people to not talk about Pegasus or the state of the economy
