Darkness Is Just Absence Of Light

If the sun suddenly disappeared, it would stop shining light on the earth and the earth would go dark. But it takes 8 minutes and 19 seconds for the light from the sun to reach earth. The last bit of light given off by the sun right before it disappeared would take 8 minutes and 19 seconds to reach us,
and the darkness that comes right after the last bit of light would also take 8 minutes and 19 seconds to reach us. We on earth would not see the sun disappear from the sky until 8 minutes and 19 seconds after it had vanished.
In Physics for the to be perceived three things are required.

viz: source of light-- some objects or things to
reflect light and an entity to perceive.
.... so darkness is not merely the absence of
light but the absence of all three of above....... In philosophy, darkness and light are perceived as duality usually synonymous with the duality of ignorance (evil) and knowledge (good)......... In the human life both good and evil e always present because of the duality of perception.....which is a quality of the intellect......
the intellect will never see everything as only good or everything as only evil....it will always perceive some things as good and some things as evil,
It is argued that Darkness is permanent and light is intermttent.For light, a source is needed.Darkness is omnipresent.It is the darkness which allows light to exist.
Just For light, many essays have been written on darkness also.
..Light and darkness are always constant,they are
neither absent,we only say they are absent because our eyes cannot depict the one we think is absent due to certain factors...Both need the presence or absence of a luminous
object which means they are both dependent on it
and the luminous object is the medium...the sun and stars are
the major ones....When a bat goes blind due to light,
isn't that the opposite of what humans would experience,
the ability for your eyes to work well in the light doesn't
mean it's the same for all animals that existed at
different times over the course of existence..
It's all about balance,the fact that the the earth rotates
makes some parts of the earth dark and vice versa..
they are both very important,and it all depends on your perspective,what you can see but given
your not only seeing this you cannot say for sure that your perspective is correct without using the contributions
from other life forms..
In the end your still is only limited to your human
capabilities..Your human brain can only assume that
nothingness must be darkness and all but in reality it's much greater than that..
your brain naturally won't be able to comprehend
or process,so your brain now uses something you can
comprehend to explain what you can't..
