Nearly a month goneby but this post did not attract any member. The powder in the image above is the wax that was smeared over the apple to make it sheen & shine & to prevent or retard moisture escape from apple. So my spouse was right to shave off apples skin before consume it. Apples are available in various colours apart from cherry red. There is a sticker attached to individual apples with a code. The numbers in the code indicates certain information. The number indicates whether it is organic or chemical fertiliser used in production of these apples .
