Hello I’ve already seen a gynaecologist who has suggested birth control pills but look to see if I can get any more advice.

periods are going on for 12 days and then now by 17th day I’m having cramping stomach ache and nausea probably preparation for next period which is coming by 24th day. Anyone had similar experiences??

like I said I have gone to gynaecologist who has given birth control pills but still this is too much to even tolerate combined with the heaviness. Someone must have gone through this. I have not started the birth control pills yet as I was afraid.

Don't be afraid of birth control pills.
I took them for hormonal imbalance years ago
The Yasmin I took only gives "break-away bleeding" for 7 days
But no real period while on Yasmin

But I'm not familiar with your situation
I pray God Almighty heals your health and

    Dear OP,
This IS normally FORBIDDEN area FOR me to write FB. But reading your plight, I could not resist RECORDING my view/opinion here.

you OUGHT to have consulted long ago another specialist. I am suggesting From experience of our family members. For months on end, consulting and following same gynec did not yield any desired results. But when my sister in law came and heard her problem, she had suggested that member to get second opinion. That answered the issue for her.

Second doc had diagnosed correctly and she detected problem in the uterus. The affected member was around forty +. Now in her sixties she is very comfortable.

    With best wishes,
    T

Why are you afraid? Doctors are the experts. But if you want, you can consult again for second opinion.
I dont think its going to change. Its a very common practice to take birthcontrol pills( BCP) for this issue. I am not sure of any other method. Doctors prescribe birth control pills because they can help control hormone levels and regulate period. If you notice any issue after taking BCP, consult doctor again they change to another one.

I have taken it for 8 months for period related issues as I mentioned in many of your posts. I didn't face any issues due to that. May be one of the best decision, i have taken. But first one they gave didn't have much effect, so changed to another one. Try and see how it goes .
    Hope you feel better soon.

I was very anemic that time due to heavy periods. So I took iron ( slow release iron) tables. It also helped.
