Please dont blame yourself Im sure your MIL has to say something about it too..just like you she wouldnt know how to say or react. Why not open it up with her while having tea or when you knew her mood is just right for this type of conversation. let her know that your respect and care will never change without doing all these things. Im sure she will understand. she might feel bad at the beginning but later on whe will see your sincerety.

I can suggest a few ideas ...

1. Tolerence funda:
While applying oil and pressing mother in law or any female legs, just put up all your force on the calf muscles and ensure they are hurted.
Women have low tolerence power compared to men.
2. Sleep walk:
Try to show you are sleep walking during mid night and press the neck/nose/any body part slightly as if you are doing massage. Just ensure they wake up.
There after you can walk out of their rooms and sleep.
3. Act innocent:
During any family function or get together, you start touching everyones feet (all including maids, outsiders, relatives, extended family). If asked why touching feet of everyone act innocent and give the credit to your inlaws...

PS: Use any one trick from the above. Dont use all else inlaws will understand your plan...

 

After massaging legs, now its touching feet everyday. Hope everyone finds a way soon.
