This board has lot of threads about bad IL, Relatives, Neighbors, Co-workers, etc. To the posters, have you ever asked yourself, "What is it about ME, that is causing people to react this way. To talk to me this way?" This is what I am pondering myself. I look back at my life where 1. I was given a nice situation 2 The situation soured 3. I was put in WORSE situation This happened twice already. I am at the WORSE situation right now (cannot elaborate due to online privacy). But now I am asking myself, "What is it about me?" My question to you is What is the answer? Have you found your answer? If possible, plz share what worked for you Was it to NOT scream? Was it to NOT react hastily? And how did you learn ACCEPTANCE?
Remember time heals everything and this shall pass. Learn to calm your mind with meditation. Try not to think about sad past, set your goals and work towards it.
It is meditation that bought up this question. Because I notice pattern of having something good and spoiling it. Only after I get into the worse situation I look back and appreciate what I had lost. yeah now I am trying to clear certification exams. Hope I can get better job with better co-workers
Perhaps all you need to learn is to be grateful. You said that you only appreciate when you "lost it". So being appreciative and grateful is the lesson that is being taught here. xx
I focus on posting to prayer and positivity thread, I cannot imagine the hell people go through. We must be polite to one another, who knows what battles they are fighting!
Good question..been there.Thought about it. Somethings which helped me.. 1) Be aware 2) we can only control our reaction and not how others would treat us or speak to us 3) Accepting reality of life and being practical 4) self care by doing what we really love 5) Enforce boundaries by not giving unsolicited information and being an observer instead of voluntarily giving info 6) Stop seeking approval 7) Self worth 8) Practice gratitude All the above will create mindshift and you will be happier and that is important. Does not matter how the world looks at us but how we look at ourselves and feel inside. Real success is a sense of calm on the inside.
