The Internet went out
I was doing something important
Now I want to pull my hair and shout

The weekend came after i finally

Only to have the Internet go out

Of all days why today
Why not when we are attending a parade
Or in the middle of the night
While everyone is dreaming of boogiemen
That came nowhere out of sight

Why did my Internet have yo go out now
It turned my smiley weekend into a frown

The rest of the neighborhood
Got affected too
Might as well
Be home

With the stinkin flu

How much have we come to
Depend on the Internet
When we need it most
It plays dead
This sends us back to VHS
When the futuristic movie was
The excellent adventures
Of Bill and Ted

I called my provider
Who said this will
Be an all-nighter
God knows how long this will take
We will be fortunate if service returns
Half past eight!
