    Hey Govind
    Hey Gopal
    Pierces my heart
    I do not understand it
    But it helps me overcome
    My pain
    Which is a great start

    Hey Govind
    Hey Gopal
    Who was Krishna?
    Was he a Lord
    What he a Smart Boy
    Either way, he was
    Known for great deeds
And is cute as a toy

    Hey Govind
    Hey Gopal
    I heard these same words
Are in the Sikh holy book
    But these wonderful words
    And great souls
    Belong to all
Not just a handful of crooks

    Hey Govind
    Hey Gopal
    Melts my hardened heart
It reminds me of a time
    When I was happy
Yet, I was not too smart

    Stupid to not know
    The danger that lay ahead
    Stupid to be rude
    To a devotee
    Which wounded his heart
    Not so much his head

    Hey Govind
    Hey Gopal
    Will I ever enjoy this
    Bhajan again

    Hey Govind
    Hey Gopal
    Will I be wise enough
    To be united with
    My dear, dear friend

Bhajan by the Late Jagjit Singh

Come on... now. People on forum may express opinions - in prose, or in verse. And post even animal-crossing railroad videos! That said, your feedback, recommending analysis, seems a genuinely felt opinion. And I enjoyed that very much.
Measured in terms of lines of poetry alone, John Bradburne (UK, 1921–1979) is the most prolific poet in the English language. Comprising a total of 169,925 individual lines, Bradburne's output almost doubles that of William Shakespeare, whose Oxford Complete Works includes 87,668 lines of poetry.
SD could compile her works someday into an e-book. She'd have to shed those images/videos that might violate others' copyrights. Johnny Bradburne is available at John Bradburne poems homepage

A short & sweet poem conveying that Lord by any name always emerges as a painkiller for those who just utter His names. In vishnusahasranamam Lord is praised by thousand names and devout hindus believe chanting it is a panacea for ailments mental & physical.
Glad you could put it lucidly in a song and I wish some one set these verses to a lovely music both in western and carnatic.
    Regards

Your post makes me feel sad
    It is making me cry
    There is not a single
    Dry spot in my
    Big, beautiful eyes

Yet I ought to be glad
    Somehow I slipped back
    Into the past
    When my trusted one
    Tortured and harassed

    Psychiatrists, psychologists,
    All those experts
    Are humans just like us
    They are also victims of
    And guilty of being jerks

    One Psychiatrist confessed
    They follows a script
    Their hard-earned MD
    Allows them give medications
    Which make patients go on
    Some sort of funky trip

    But this much is true
    While great works of art
    Look lot of perspiration
    It was life's sadness
    That was the main inspiration

    Look at Romeo and Juliet
Look at Tale of Two cities
    Look at Macbeth
    Surely you have seen
    Movie stars reminisce
    Their sadness while
    Sitting comfortably in
    Their movie sets

Art helps one confront their feeling
    This fuel can build beautiful
    Buildings with huge ceilings
Or this mud can build walls
    That blocks lovers
And your happiness it will stall

Thank you for your encouragement. I hope to pen several best sellers someday. Right now I write and share poetry to relax. I have many more that I am yet to share (some are uplifting, some are sad, some are in-between_

Poetry helps is get into the depths of our feelings, things we have held onto for 1 year, or even 1 decade.

    Poetry serves as a catharsis.

When Buddha was doing 40-day meditation he had to confront all his inner demons. Poetry is a way of doing this in an anonymous forum.

Therapy is supposed to help people get into depths of their feelings, but

    (1) Therapist really doesn't know what they are doing or
    (2) Therapist can take undue advantage of patients (even though it is illegal)
    (3) Patient's only crutch is therapy, which only makes the therapist rich, and the Patient at square one

Now I set my alarm to this Bhajan to think about the good things in this Universe.

I must add, Carnatic music has it's sweet distinct sound.

When I get a chance I teach myself Bansuri (6-holed Hindustani Bamboo flute). I hope to get expert enough to teach myself Venu (7 to 8-hole Carnatic Bamboo flute)

Don't worry about it. A reviewer being true to the self is a thing to celebrate. Your spurs caused another poem; Well done!! Some of the great artists have been called Nutters in their times. If SD puts out a couple hundred lines a week, in her spare time, she'd be in the Guinness Book in a few years. This site will become known for having launched the poetess....on the book of world records.
