    June 4:
    • Take a progress photo — done
    • Yoga - 22 minutes; Rowing - 25 minutes; Walk - 45 minutes
    • 3L water — done
    • Reading — Grit by Angela Duckworth
    • Caloric intake ~1400 cals
    • Meditation — 3 minutes

Yesterday was a struggle. A full day of work, then cooked dinner for the family of a friend recovering from surgery. By the time I dropped off the meal it was 7:30pm. At that point my choices were a 90 minute workout :disrelieved: or wine and a comfy couch. As I weighed my choices, LeBron James popped up on TV musing, “Who would I be if I snooze?” Capitalist schmaltz can be inspiring too, sometimes. Went for a 45 minute walk, did 3km on the rowing machine and finished with yoga by 9:15pm. By the time I sat down for my bedtime meditation I was dead on my feet. Managed 3 minutes before it was lights out.

I decided to share this for folks who find it hard to make time for themselves. Even for the most fitness minded of us there are no ideal days or perfect plans. Showing up for oneself is a choice and invariably a difficult one.

Wow Gauri. You did it despite the very hectic schedule! It inspires me to be committed and try everything I can to achieve the daily goals. We are now packing to leave early in the morning tomorrow for the vacation but I am going to remember this once I come back! Thanks for sharing!

I love taking up challenges. The challenges turn into habits in the due course of time. Not exactly into fitness and work out as of now but as it's mentioned in the thread I'm doing this more for my mental discipline.

"transformative program for cultivating mental toughness/discipline.”

Will set my goals and start from 7-6-2021 .
    Goals :
    My goals :
    1) 40 mins walk + 3.5L of water- for my physical health
    2) reading 10 pages - yes I am not an avid reader but if I want my baby to develop that habit I want to be an example for that. It's never late to develop a good habit like reading.
    3) Apart from classes n assignments 90mins for practicing what I study.
    4) not losing my cool and staying cool(very tough for me but I really really need to cultivate this. So I believe 75 days if I'm able to control my temper then it's a good progress towards my long term goal of developing PATIENCE)
    5) Meditation .
