"Happiness cannot be pursued; it must ensue," wrote Holocaust survivor and psychiatrist Viktor Frankl in his book Man's Search for Meaning. Read this in a Bbc article about spreading positivity in the indian context. Positivity must ensue and not be thrust upon people amidst tragedy. 1. When there is enough oxygen support beds, people will feel positive. 2. When people don't worry about paying hospital bills for dead relatives or funeral bills, people will feel more positive. 3. When none go to bed hungry because of loss of income, people would feel positive. 4. When there is honesty and transparency from government, people will feel more positive. 5. When there is hope for riding this wave and a strategy for preventing a 3rd wave, we will feel positive. Until then, it is just plain cruel to see breathless loved ones, bodies dragged by dogs, floating bodies, elected representatives asking people to drink cow urine and force people to feel positive about anything.
I agree with you completely but posting/watching same depressing videos give positivity? @Minion Ji Is it so easy to defeat any leading political party with just posting videos/links in online forums like IL?
It is proven that holding on to whatever strength you got is helping fight covid.. People who want to jump in are jumping in to help anyway without waiting for the above list to be excecuted... govt or not. Do you think they havnt seen the vidoes of people dying of lack of oxygen and bodies floating dragged by dogs? Do you think they are a-ok on the govt which made this happen?..They willingly forced positivity upon them and its working. I am so so greatful that those people are helping elderly (from my and other families)getting their groceries because they are vulnerable while I am sitting in first world helpless (and useless). Summarising videos in bullet points, really? Yes, its cruel not to acknowlege the pain and the horrible horrible situation but everyone is feeling the pain here..so no one is cruel.Stating USA political facts arnt helping either.. but hey ho!.. go on. ..but I agree to that post...We cant force positivity on those who dont want it... its a choice. Forced anything while they resist isnt worthy. This thread will go on until 2024. I wish Modi resigns soon and stop the fodder.
It is a sample of how bad things are and what is happening around India, the government is actively doing what it can to suppress the truth and main stream media is acting like a propaganda machine for the ruling government, if you know what is happening then you can ignore this thread.
He is power hungry person who will not stop at anything, he his building a supersize house for himself to satisfy his ego even during this pandemic. Central Vista: India’s Modi blasted for $2.8bn project amid COVID "The BJP targeted West Bengal heavily during campaigning but the state was comfortably held by the incumbent, Mamata Banerjee, a fierce Modi critic. Her win came as a surprise to political observers, who noted how much time and money the BJP invested in the state. Mr Modi was even accused of focusing on polls rather than the pandemic." " The BJP had pulled out all the stops for electioneering, with PM Narendra Modi leading its campaign from the front. To enhance his appeal further to the Bengali voter, he had grown his beard long, with his supporters drawing comparisons with the state's much loved icon - Nobel Prize-winning poet Rabindranath Tagore. But in the end, it all came to nothing." India elections: Modi party defeated in West Bengal battleground
Most of us have close relatives -- sick and/or dead. We call and chat. We send money home for medicines, hospitals, funerals and post-funeral stability for families who have lost their earner. Some things we can control, some things we cannot control. In the meantime, it is best to find what floats your boat, and ride. If you like videos with the same harangue over and over, have at it, and enjoy. If you don't, then skip. Political leaders are there to be criticized when they mess up in their responsibilities. Some can do it; others see it as a nonstarter. You find things that appeals to you, intrigues you, and express an opinion if you have the time and feel that it might matter. Sometimes you don't feel the bother: Old fortune cookie say "Man who wink in dark, don't get girl" In which country/language Abyss is a girl's name?
