Does everyone wash their hair before praying in the morning? I don't know why suddenly I got a doubt but for major poojas we wash our hair right why we dont' wash for regular poojas?
No, I don't wash my hair every day but my mom does in auspicious months. If you want, you can go ahead with that. What I feel is reverence and concentration are more important for prayers.
Irrespective of time, a prayer followed by a head bath or ordinary bath in temple tank or in home shower - lends a serene feeling while praying or worshipping. I think prayer and worship are two different things. But i presume a bath or headbath is not a precondition for regular prayers. But in south India, among certain sects it is a custom to take head bath particularly on Fridays for females and while observing special vraths and or poojas. A prayer is a prayer with or without bath cold or hot. God assigns blessings in suitable proportions probably considering other factors such as humaneness, kindness to sufferers, helping the sick and indigents. Regards.
