Looking for Hindi songs that communicate thusly with God:
    • How could you do this to me?
    • Why, but why, did you have to create this world?
    • Now, how do you expect me to live after this?
    • My little little joys are a problem to you, is it so?

The song should address or refer to God directly. Such as:
    • "Oh Creator of this World"
    • Bhagwan, Palanhaar
    • Protector of the World, Almighty, Savior
    .

My absolute favorite in this category is this eternally melodious and haunting song:

Zindagi dene wale sun, teri duniya se dil bhar gaya
Mai yahan jite ji mar gaya

Raat katati nahi din guzarata nahi, zakhm aisa diya hai ke bharta nahi
Aankh viraan hai, dil pareshaan hai, gham kaa saamaan hai
Jaise jaadu koi kar gaya, zindagi dene vale sun

Bekhata tune mujh se khushi chhin li,
Zinda rakha magar zindagi chhin li
Kar diya dil ka kahun, chup kaha tak rahun,
Saaf kyu na kahun, Tu khushi se meri dar gaya,
    Zindagi dene wale sun.

When he says, 'saaf kyon na kahu, tu khushi se meri dar gaya..."
Why shouldn't I plainly say, you felt threatened/scared of my happiness
    Too good.

Sung by the one with the mellifluous voice - Talat Mahmood. Today, February 24th 2021 marks his 97th birth anniversary.

@Rihana interesting question.... we could generate a longer list if you include any Indian language (not just Hindi) - I could add the meanings if you like !

"Zindagi dene wale sun" is the first song I remembered after seeing your title. A Masterpiece - the melody, the voice, the words, the emotions, the expressions - perfect!

The other one I could think of was "Duniya banane wale kahe ko man me samayi"

Here is one more - Rafi's voice in Baiju Bawra pulls at your heart

Jaa dekh liya harjaai .. .... ab to neer bahale - he says "Cry for me, oh harjaai (betrayer) - why are you not moved by my pain"

jeevan apna wapas lele - jeevan dene wale - take back this life, o giver of life

@Jaysree ji is the finder and discoverer nonpareil. She will find a long list given any criteria. Previous such threads went to 10 pages thank to Jaysree! Let's stick to Hindi for now ... the official language of the Union of India.. : )

    Duniya banane wale...
    Oh duniya ke rakhwale ...

Both are thoughtful conversations with God.

Going by the fact that first three songs in thread are by male singers, I wonder if in general, lamenting God's decisions and actions is done more men in Hindi movies than women.

Interesting observation. I find that I often identify with the first two lines or another specific line in a song, rather than all of them. For example, in this song, many might now and then feel "teri duniya se dil bhar gaya" but not many will say "tu khushi se meri dar gaya" : )

My second most favorite in this category is Aaj Din Chadheya from 2009's Love Aaj Kal.

All have done their part to create a memorable song: Music Direction Pritam, Lyricist Irshad Kamil and of course Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

The song has the singer praising, acknowledging, scolding and negotiating with God. It always reminds me of a little child talking with him mom about a snack he wants or to go out and play before doing homework. : ) Each line in the song is the kind that never becomes stale. But, listing only the scolding ones here. : )

Maanga joh mera hai, jaata kya tera hai
Maine kaun si tujhse jannat maang li
Kaisa khuda hai tu, bas naam ka hai tu
Rabba joh teri itni si bhi na chali

What I asked for is rightfully mine, what do you lose?
I didn't ask the entire Paradise from you!
What kind of God are you, you are just for name sake
God, you couldn't manage to do even this much for me
    Source

Trivia: The woman in the song is former Brazilian model and actress Giselli Monteiro, who later quit acting to pursue studies in architecture.
