Kelly Loefler can insider trade PPE stocks for millions. Hedge funds can short sell. Regular investors cannot rally together and buy? That's not a level playing field at all. Robinhood was forced to stop sale of volatile stocks. Who is forcing them? Wall Street baddies itself!
what's your favorite subreddit, then? Mine has been r/politics for a while. I can go there and go to town. It's a stress buster for sure!
This thread reminds me how the market is engineered by few brokers especially in Indian bourses. Eighty to ninety percent of traders are chasing stocks only to square up earlier loses. Many are greedy and gullible and they are guided not by reputed analysts but by bits of planted information or called disinformation . A IL member then suggested me instead writing about stock stories, I must dwell upon heart and brain matters which are uppermost to IL members. That was the time I learnt about US 401k retirement plan for tax benefits. Same member had then stAted in the following thread - In the link Money Money Money Overnight Affluence that he was following tamil aphorism “ learn thievery too - to guard yourself” (களவும் கற்று மற) While I had attempted only to explain how easy it is for fraudsters to turn affluent over a fortnight or overnight. Thanks and Regards.
Now everybody is explaining it on various channels... If you liked Saagar (the 2nd gen Telugu) above, Here is another one of us doing it:
Daughter is always spending so much time on reddit. And she didnt inform me when she saw this blow up. My one chance to be a millionaire gone. So how did that zoom call go? How many made money, and how many are still holding ? Sorry couldnt resist that. By the time I came to know on Wednesday GME was in $300s so I thought too late. Thursday it came down to $150 because of Robinhood and other brokers halted buy but I was too scared to take the risk even though I could buy thru my broker. Missed opportunity, Now it is back to 300+. I could have made a 100% profit. Damn! Now I know how gamblers feel Did get some AMC/NOK though, just a few to feel part of "david vs Goliath" fight. Not in the red right now. But not planning to hold it . This game is too risky for me. Too old to take such risks. See how things unfold today and do a quick sell. Party over for me.
I'm tempted. NOK is a good one no? Both are overpriced at the moment. Or market analysts feel they are. The millennials at WallStreetBets think they are still undervalued. I honestly want them to surge so the analysts and hedge funds get to eat some humble pie. WSJ articles yesterday and today are hilarious to read.
