Pandemic Birthday Celebration!

    Last week, my boy turned eight! He had been talking about his birthday celebration for a while and was trying to figure out what he wanted more-
    a Harry Potter theme or Jurassic World! Finally, he decided on the velociraptor, his favorite dinosaur. He knew that there won’t be any friends coming to the party but he did invite our neighbor who has become their adopted grandma.

    The day started with his favorite breakfast of homemade blueberry muffins.

    He asked for his favorite Parmesan chicken wings for lunch and we made lemon cake with lemon cream icing. My daughter and I also made a velociraptor piñata (my son drew it and I copied his drawing).

    Some dinosaur decorations, his special cake, and piñata were enough to make the little boy happy. He wanted to go on a trip to the Grand Canyon but given the circumstances we had to cancel that plan. Hopefully, next year!

    You had given here a virtuously glimpse of the celebration and mention of a visit to Grand Canyon deferred due to pandemic set the reader’s mind to Colorado reddish river and other landmarks over there.
