    Hello Friends,
    My mom who is living in India is planning to sell a property ,Which is in my late dad's name. We are two sisters. My sister lives in UK. Please anyone kindly share the things we need to from here to sell the property.

    You need a lawyer in India who specializes in wills and estates.
    If your father died without a will (intestate), then the Class-1 heirs will have to come together to sell the property. If he had died with a will, that will has to be probated in court, and the property passed on to the one who is supposed to get it. Mother, Spouse and Children are in this class-1, and there are many others too. The estate lawyer would be able to compose the documents [abdication of shares, power of attorney etc] for NRI children to sign, notarize and send back.
    IMO, you must not waste time gathering information on the internet. Get a local estate lawyer for your mother.
