Diego Maradona dead: Football legend dies of heart attack just two weeks after hospital release | Daily Mail Online
Diego Maradona has died at the age of 60 after suffering a cardiac arrest.

The football legend had a heart attack at his home just two weeks after leaving hospital where he underwent surgery on a blot clot in his brain.

Maradona, regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time, helped Argentina win the World Cup in 1986, the pinnacle of an illustrious career.

Remember those Doordarshan years.. I think 1986 was the first year Doordarshan telecast the World Cup?

When I was new to the U.S., if I met anyone from Argentina, I would invariably ask about Maradona. : ) I guess that is how we Indians get asked about cows and elephants : )

Recently, read about Kapil Dev's heart attack at the age of 62. Luckily, read that he is recovering well.

Somehow, one expects sportspersons to not have such health issues.. I know that doesn't make sense.. but..

    :hello:
Post surgery die- go maradona has expired. RIP.
THANKS TO DD but for which many would not have seen him much except in compulsory exhibit cinema news reel before main picture commences.
I enjoyed his reverse somersault kick straight into goal.
