I am googling like crazy, but I cannot find what AD stands for in "AD Monitor" of a Voting Site. Several of us want to go voting on Election Day, and we were told "AD Monitor" may allow elderly or disabled to bypass long long lines.
If this were Wheel of Fortune, you'd need to buy a vowel to add to AD. : ) They are most likely referring to the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act). The Americans with Disabilities Act and Other Federal Laws Protecting the Rights of Voters with Disabilities The ADA and other acts say that voters with disabilities, those who are elderly, or handicapped in other ways, or have less level of education, etc. should have the same opportunity and accessibility to vote as other voters. The local government in charge of the elections is required to ensure that equal accessibility and accommodations are provided to those voters who need them.
