Are There Any Tests To Go Thru Before Marriage

    hi, Im 40 and the guy is 42. The main reason for the marriage is to have children.
    While I understand love, security and all are basic reasons but for us, it is to have children.

    I dont want to take any chances with the trials and problems of pregnancies and getting tests after marriage.

    Are there any tests that we need to get done to ensure we have an easy pregnancy journey?

    For some people conceiving a child takes years even if there is no problem with them. That being said, you could get a well woman check up, and he could do similar tests to make sure there is nothing wrong with him. You could get fertility testing done too, talk to your PCP.

    At 40 you have no time to waste. You should both go to a reproductive endocrinologist immediately and get yourselves checked out. They can then advise you whether you can try naturally or whether you will need medical intervention. Also read the book It Starts with the Egg by Rebecca Fett.

    Don’t have much knowledge, but AMH test needs to be done by you..along with few hormonal tests , pelvic scan and basic blood work to check health stratus and reproductive health...the husband needs to do a basic health checkup and speed analysis...some genetic counselling also required.
