    hi,
    Are you in Midwest place in USA?

    QUOTE="blindpup10, post: 4188401, member: 459378"]Thank you.
    When I was growing up, I was never allowed to eat guava for health reasons. Then I moved to the US, forget about finding good guava in the midwest.
    After not eating guava for so long, I hadn't even explored the option of growing until my Vietnamese co-worker placed a big bag of homegrown guavas on my desk last Nov.
    My joy had no bounds. I went to the nearest nursery didn't even worry about the cost. Got the healthiest looking guava and dunked it the front yard. :cheer::cheer:

    @MalStrom- This is the white kind. Try Asian stores in Nov/ Dec for good guava. I have found good-sized guava in Asian stores but each fruit is like $5- $6.[/QUOTE]

    I pluck unripe tomato as tomatoes attract insects and flies.

    Thank you @netflx

    I used to have heavy phlegm build up in my throat and lungs. My mom always blamed it on banana and guava. I was never allowed to have these 2 fruits at any cost. Not really sure if it actually causes the phlegm or if its old wives tale my mom believed.
    As an adult, I still avoid eating banana, ice cream or anything cold.
