Hi All, my mom passed away 2days back in India. My younger sister & family are the one doing all the rituals in India (Tamil Nadu). Since I couldn’t travel at this time, what can I do here to pray for mom’s soul to rest in peace? so far, I have her picture on a table, her saree & some flowers. Can I cook her favorite food & keep? Can I lit a lamp? is it allowed? Please share & advice. Thank you
@fluffy, First of all condolences on your mothers passing away. You can ask your sisters family who are doing the rituals, to ask the priest there as to what you can do being away from the rituals in person. That would be the best guide . Take care
Sorry for the loss dear. You can do any kind of prayer that can calm down your mind and if you want to go with rituals then every family has its own method of performing that. Either some elder person of your family or the priest can help you. Take Care.
