You can grow okra as soon as the nights remain consistently above 60’s. It does very well once it gets warm.

Any suggestions on which type of mint will be closest to the one we use in India? Or used in the India of 1980's and 90's. And the best way to grow it (seeds..) ? Will have to be in basic rectangular and round planters lying around. Zone 9b. I have lots of potting soil.

Want to use mint in a pudhina chutney recipe I remember from childhood and not made for decades now, but the big leaves one I get from local stores feels so "fake". The rest of American can go crazy baking in this Covid stay-at-home times, I am going for chutneys. : )

I like peppermint, spearmint and Kentucky Colonel mint. They’re not as authentic as the desi versions but acceptable. Planting in containers is the way to go unless you want it to run all over the yard. I use wide and shallow pots. Use the extra for mojitos.

Thanks to @Viswamitra's nomination. I realized that I hadn't posted progress on my garden.
Currently, I have saplings of beans, peppers, strawberry, raspberry.

I harvested cabbage, raddish and cauliflower in April.
Very kneeling tending to grapes, kiwi and dragon fruit.
I have ordered star fruit. It will be delivered in few days.
I also made a fence to protect plants from my dog. Now looking forward to tomatoes, spinach, zucchini and beets to be harvested.

@MalStrom- I have realized that I have clay soil in certain parts of my garden any suggestion how I can make it into gardener friendly soil?
After every harvest I plow the soil add manure+ garden soil. But I want to start taking measure to improve the soil itself. Any ideas how to go about it?
