    Hello all,

Last week my husbands US visa (business purpose) got rejected. The case went as:

B1 visa was applied. He is an IT professional, designation - delivery manager, work experience of more than 12yrs. With the current company for almost 4 yrs. Age 39 (turning 40 in 3 weeks). Married with kids. All expanse paid by the company. Was supposed to travel alone, all the company and self documents were in order.

    These questions were asked:

    vo: what's your designation?

    A: Delivery Manager

    Vo: total salary

    A: told the gross salary

Vo: have you every travelled outside your country?

A: yes. To singapore and Malaysia in 2011.

    Vo:anywhere after that?

    A:no

Vo: sorry your visa is rejected this time.

    Should he reapply??
How can we make the case more concrete. How should he have answered?? How should I prepare for the answers to be given. How to prove strong ties as he carried all the relevant papers but none were seen by the VO. How to be more prepared??

214b denial would have usually involved someone (working under the VO) who had already examined the submitted information from the applicant/sponsor etc..

Only an experienced immigration consultant or lawyer can figure out (after talking to the applicant, and debriefing him) if there had been any rationale in this particular case.

I would be pleased (and surprised too) if any of us can figure this out, and have some remedial advice. A local US visa consultant/lawyer would likely have a better answer for your questions.

Oh!! Perhaps your prior experience might suggest that this candidate was over-prepped. So far our data from this thread points only to this conclusion :). How is the track record of that company with respect to B1 visa to USA for other employees ?

:hello:It depends where your DH had taken the visa interview.
    2. In view of urgency, my daughter selected the venue Hyderabad for earliest interview date and flown there Friday returned to native place x same evening and Monday she flew again to HYD AND got the visa returned same evening to place X and alone took flight to Boston (USA) with a stop over.

    3. I believe, there could be time limit upto which the rejection stands unless you have additional documents to prove changed elevated status.

    4. I regret my inability to answer all your questions.

    With best wishes

God bless all ambitious with US visa.
