True. Not every case cannot be put under a radar and all such exceptions will be well within our realm of trusting people. There is practice of distributing diwali gifts and some business houses send costly gifts. Any sensible person would know what it is for! These and similar temptations are the easy things we have to be careful about.

No at all. There are thousands of well meaning humans among us. At the same time there are hundreds of temptations to fall pray for. One has to make a calculated decision.

    Dear Hari Sir,

There used to be a slogan during emergency days displayed in prominent places, "There is no substitute for hard work". I assume this display was made for government employees to come to work on time, don't expect bribe and do your job properly everyday.

Anything we get when we feel we don't deserve it becomes a burden in future. Deep down, our conscience is telling us what we deserve all the time. Anything others get when we fee they don't deserve disturbs our mind whereas what we get without deserving it shakes up our conscience.

    Dear Viswa,
Yes there are people who work hard and who hardly work. Also Government or Private I have experienced that people occupying seat of decision making expect gratification. Their conscience never pricks because they consider it their right. People have no choice but to accept them. In Government service it was taken for granted that he will earn that 'oopar ki kamai' (Income over and above salary). Sometimes this was higher than the salary itself.
Some people do stay away from illegal gratifications as their conscience does not allow it but they are called misfit.
Nevertheless, each one of us know what is due to us and what is not. Anything that is not due has strings attached. This is what we have to doubt.
