Of late, whenever I apply henna, I develop a strong itch on my scalp which is unbearable. What should I do? Could this be due to the dryness? Should I oil my hair?

To avoid this you need to rinse your hair well of all henna, and apply shampoo to wash it off. My mom had the same issue and this is what she does. No impact to color but if you use indigo then don;t do this as it will wash out the indigo.

I use henna for conditioning only. Mix wi yoghurt and a bit of oil, apply and wash off in one hour. Next day use shampoo. I love the coolness it gives head.
