    See this is quite worrying..

We might be emotional driven but be practical too..

With a situation like job uncertainty..it is quite tough.

We have to think positives and negatives.

On the positive side,If he finds the right job and moves back All is good which honestly..will take time.He has to find a job and also considering his age also, nowadays competition is very high especially in India, dealing with office politics, and finally he should be “happy” with his job..

on the flip side, since it might take time
To land the right job,he might not able to come right away and stay put for few more years.Men usually don’t like to land up with any job and they don’t like their career compromised.

If you are financially very able,it might help but trust me “happiness” is very subjective.

I love India and crazy about it but practicalities makes me stay put.

I wish you all the best and please take an informed decision.

I can recommend a novel by Jumpa Lahiri 'The Namesake' and a 1999 movie 'East is East' dealing with the life in USA and UK respectively and eventual return of the protagonist back to home country at old age.
You are still young and can make a calculated choice. It can not be an emotional choice like love for country, missing relatives, and so on. I can add only one thing life in India is very comfortable if you have good funds. One can live a very comfortable life with maid, driver and other help.
I am saying this because I know the situation on both sides.
