Wow! For the first time a post nominated by me has won an award.! Congrats Sabitha for Do You Believe in Magic? As someone who has lived all his life in north, I get a real jolt when I go to TN. Do these guys really think I don't know Tamil or is there something in my looks that is very un-Tamil? Even when I go to a grocer or vegetable vendor, when I ask for the price of what I want, they reply in English I hit back :Onakku Tamizh theriyada " (Don't you know Tamil?). In Chennai go to a , lounge of a movie hall , a restaurant, or even while waiting to attend a carnatic music concert, you will find full- blooded Tamils deeply engaged in conversation--in English. It is this situation that JSKS explores in her thread. A well-deserved win. Congrats JSKS
