Saisakthi, is it not advisable to have stone Baba at home? I have one that I got from shirdi. Can I remove it from my pooja room? Where shall I keep it then? Can I just lock it up in the cup board? One of my friend told me that Baba should not be kept with other Gods and worshipped... In short, Baba should not be placed in the pooja room. Is that true? Please advise.

its not as if you broke the idol in a fit of rage.. It was an accident.. Say sorry to baba, immerse that broken idol in river/well and get new one.

I am thinking aloud here... There's the concept of prana-prathista in our religion. so, technically until one performs the ritual of prana prathista, its just a statue..

My suggestion is you just make necessary sticking/pasting on that idol and keep that statue in your book shelf / showcase / cupboard, if not in pooja room. But pls do not throw away or immerse into the water.

He will bless you in whatever form He is in, Do not worry!

I agree with bhucat, no need for immersing the broken idol.
Use a strong glue (like feviquick or acrylic glue) and paste it. Keep in tv shelf or bookshelf or cupboard.

Sai blesses without any conditions. HIS LOVE is unconditional. Just you need to pray with a pure heart and sincere devotion.

I completed sai vrat 2weeks back. Seeing me my sister also started doing sai vrat. Today i dreamt that my sister is doing abhishek pooja of BABA's idol and slowly neck area started becoming soft and the idol got disfigured into two parts. Head part and body separated at neck area. I am scared thinking what this dream meant. I dont know how to interpret it. Please enlighten me.
