Vow @Viswamitra ji, thank you for the message..my best wishes to your son...getting a patent is no easy deal...I understand how much of a challenge it must have been..I have worked in a lab for 9 yrs now and understood how laidback our government systems can be.i neither had a good mentor nor was it easy to conceive experiments..as days passed on I was becoming more and more lazy and stagnant..that was when I challenged myself out of this comfort zone that has cucooned me for a long time now...so if a person is dynamic, he will get bored in these labs that move at tortoise pace due to policies..so what your son is doing is v good!! ll have your advices on course work and project in my mind...thank you once again!
@Amulet I completely agree with you...my biggest negative is am a very emotional person...I have to develop a thick skin and work on stabilising myself...but the good side is when it comes to research, I love what I do and I get completely immersed till I get what I want... But again my mood swings are my biggest enemy!!!!
@Rihana dearest thank you so much!!!! @yellowmango s posts resonate with my thoughts.its about being straight forward and righteous..whereas your posts dampens my aggressiveness and saves me from instability it's about strategy and diplomacy...both in equal proportions is the recipe for success!!
We are all out-sweeting Sweety2016 on this thread now! In my attempts to browse the web to find out what "cleared" was, I happened to come across this "passed out" also. Honestly, when I first read that note, I thought the OP had reconsidered the notion of a few years of self-flagellation during her young years, and cleared that IIT off her mind.... but then, the rest of that post didn't jive with that meaning.
