I will post the answer to my puzzle by the end of today or early tomorrow. Please let me know if anyone is still trying the answer to the puzzle. Thank you.
The answer to the puzzle #8497 Answer: Aristotle Row 1, Image 1 & Row 2, Image 4 - Plate plus "O" makes Plato. He joined Plato's Academy at the age of 18 and stayed there for 20 years. Row 1, Image 2 - Aristotle Onasis at a very young age as they share the same first name, I gave that as a clue to get to the philosopher. Row 1, Image 3 & Row 2, Image 2 - Aristotle's views on physical science profoundly shaped medieval scholarship. Their influence extended from Late Antiquity and the Early Middle Ages into the Renaissance, and were not replaced systematically until the Enlightenment and theories such as classical mechanics. Therefore, I gave the images of Renaissance and Enlightenment periods. Row 2, Image 1 - He became a tutor to Alexander and therefore his image was given as a clue. Row 2, Image 3 - School of Aristotle in Mieza, Macedonia, Greece.
I started this thread by invoking the resident deity of all American trivia-buffs -- Alex Trebek. So it is only fitting that I post this here. Trebek is the host of the TV quiz show, Jeopardy. The man is a national treasure. With his inimitable grace and humor he announced today that he has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The survival rate for those is <1%. I have been watching him religiously for as long as I have lived in the United States, and it feels personal. : ( Go all in Mr Trebek. I hope you crush this final jeopardy.
I am tagging a few @kaniths, @jskls, @butterflyice and @sokanasanah as no one other than @Gauri03 responded to my easy puzzle. Viswa
That took barely 0.0167 mins. Viswa! I think. I didn't attempt to reconcile every clue; that's always a bit of a danger. A little later .... PS: Well, I did. Reconciled most ... hmmm ... now, all clues.
Soka, That rounds off to 0.02 minutes. I always look for reconciling clues because you have taught me the process of reconciliation is more meaningful that finding the answer by setting your images with so much depth.
