Thanks for the two nominations Stayblessed. This is one of the constant issues on the Relationships forum. The arguments on both sides of the issue are always pitched very strongly. All I can say is they are different ways of viewing a situation and each one is entitled to his or her own opinion.

YM has certainly expressed herself very clearly and strongly and I can well see where she is coming from. For too long now dils have been harassed by the pils all along when they are strong and capable of looking after themselves. No one talks for the dil or says anything to the pils - they are always the elders, at any age. Come old age, once they are helpless, dils are expected to be very empathetic and patient and angels of mercy for the very people who once harassed them.

Certainly there is nothing to stop anyone trying to be their best selves, but the question is where is the justice? When will social justice be done?

Thanks for seconding the post, Rihana. I don't think a timely reminder would hurt, irrespective of what a dil would choose to do later on in life. At least it should be very nourishing food for thought.
