Hi everyone,
I need all your help.Hope someone can help me.One of my friend is having endometrosis and have some problems with her eggs too.So they are planning to go for IVF with donor eggs. Is it possible to get pregnant with donor eggs in IVF treatment without operating endometriosis? what would be the successful rate of IVF? Please let me know your opinions as soon as possible.Hope someone will help me..

In the case of endometriosis, it is recommended to meet a specialised fertility expert for evaluation before proceeding with donor or her own eggs. If she is based at Bangalore, I can recommend my fertility expert who has handled such high risk cases very well and she can consult or atleast take an opinion before proceeding forward.

Success rate of IVF ranges across doctors as it is function of many factors ranging for the egg grade, maternal fertility issues, sperm motility, sperm DFI range, doctors' skill in the fertilization process, day of transfer, cell stage of transfer, blastocyst or 8/16 cell transfer, etc

 

Thanks @WiniPooh for your reply..Firstly wish you a very happy and safe second pregnancy.very happy for you.Without surgical procedure of endometriosis can she proceed .She is having minute pain only during periods other than period days which last for 3 to 5 days she doesnot have any pain..Once doctor called her for check up during 2nd day of periods and she got some pain in vaginal area while doctor was checking her internal parts.So she thinks she might have endometrosis.

 

Confirmation of Endometrosis can be done by a doctor only and basis a scan and basic tests. This cannot be done basis a symtomatic scenario and any surgery should be done only if more or less confirmed. I would recommend that she gets a second opinion done before considering this option of surgery.

Further more, transvaginal scans can sometimes be painful if someone has a tight vagina. That cannot be reason for a conclusion of endometrosis. Which city is she in?

Would suggest that she visits my fertility specialist and then decide on the next steps. My doc is very experienced and for a lot ppl who have given up hope of conception have succeeded with her. Ping me if you would want me to share her coordinates.
