I think this job can get you into the better league since you had to compromise with a low paying job due to the long break. So when you quit from here, it gives you more n better opportunities for your next job.

Is it possible to rent out your own house n rent another house closer to the job?

Your child being so young, changing schools n all will be easier. N they adapt so fast.

Or look at it as a 6 months - 1 year thing n continuously look out for better opportunities.

Will suggest not to look at another child till you sort out your financials n your hubby helping you n not busy being moody. Remember you would have to provide for two kids, two school fees, all kids expenses multiplied by 2.

You can hire a maid who can come in during the evening for a few hours, who can take your child out to play. Clean the house. Cook dinner n breakfast. That way, you are saved from the daily household chores n your family will be fed n house cleaned.

This money can really help you.
You can take your son for weekend outing.
Wth for two days, that means you are out only for 3 days in 7 days. That's not a bad option.

 

Do not take this job until you have a solution for the 2 hr commute i.e either moving close to your job or husband helping more at home. You will need to constantly depend on a maid, will your hubby get your son ready for school? You are also planning for second one...2 days of wfh is still crazy work because they still require you to login the same hours. Women have to manage home, kids and career and if your hubby is not on the same page with you, you are unnecessarily creating stress for yourself. Look for more opportunities if you want something better than what you have, pass on this one.

 

Take this job and enjoy your financial freedom. As others pointed out explore on shifting house. Your kid is younger and he can adjust well.
